Kollad Kollad is a green village blessed with cocunut trees, paddy fields and rivers. Kollad is inscribed in the history as the first place where the translated liturgy from Syriac to Malayalam was used which kindled a flame of reformation in the traditional Churches.
Beginning of Kollad I.P.C. Ebenezer
Plamparampil P.J.Easow was attracted to the Pentecostal teachings and became the first fruit of Pentecostal Churches at Kollad. There were Gospel meetings conducted in different parts of the village and as a result Vettuvelil V.M. Chacko committed himself for the Gospel and Gospel proclamation. A Sunday Shcool which was conducted at Pastor V.M Chacko’s house later became a church and in 1963 a land was purchased near Boat Jetty juncton for Church building. That is the begginning of Kollad I.P.C. Ebenezer Church. Kollad church has more members outside the country than the actual members who worship at present there.
Kollad Church Now Kollad church is small in size at present mainly due to the immigration of it's members in different parts of the world. God has blessed the hardworks of our forefathers and as a result the younger generation is reaping the fruits in foreign lands. Pastor Vincy G. Philip is shepherding the congregation with a new vision to bring more new members to the church. An Assosiate Pastor is also joined the Pastoral team this year.
